My son stopped in there today. He brought out steak sandwiches on buns. He also brought out raised donuts and "cows" . It was all wonderfully delightful! No more need to drive to Hayward for these high quality bakery items. This place has definitely improved big time! For many years I used to drive right by. Not anymore. Go head and give them a try again now. They are top shelf! I wonder if they have horse radish mustard there for those beef sandwiches.
Great smells as you walk in. Can't go wrong with anything you buy. I highly recommend the sugar cookies(the thin ones).
The bakery has wonderful fresh filled donuts. They sell out quickly so you have to get there early. Their pull-apart (finger rolls) are what we call "Shell Lake Rolls" and they've made them for more than 50 maybe 60 years. The bakery is definitely worth your stop. Very reasonable prices.
It's a MUST stop! Great place with an incredible variety of goodies and awesome bread!
Everything is fresh and fabulous along with friendly service. My wife and I get pastries, and "fried cinnamon" 3-4 times a week all summer long. We also try one of their many breads each week. Quite simply the best bakery I have ever been in.
