Lots of greenery. 50 feet away from a lake. And has a bar (sometimes has karaoke). Also was nice and quiet.
I have been coming to this campground for about 5 summers now, and I just can't seem to get enough of the beautiful views of the lake, the wonderful people, and all the fun times. I have made so many great memories here, and I am looking forward to making so many more! There is really something for everyone here with the beach and lake access for swimming and boating, horseshoe pits, playground, and occasional potlucks and karaoke in the bar. It is a lovely place with great people. Come for a weekend, and you just might get hooked like I did :)
The place could have been a nice campground. The kids enjoyed swimming and playing at the playground with other kids from the campground. Unfortunately, the bar ruined it.
this is not a place to take small children. bar is loud till closing and intoxicated guests are up later then that. 2 nights no sleep. our mini family trip back fired on the resting part.
This place is NOT meant for families with young kids. I am currently in my camper (2:30am) unable to sleep due the complete disregard to people's need for sleep. The music has been blaring from the "karaoke bar" joined by the constant hooting & hollering from many drunk, inconsiderate people. Last night the music went on until almost 3am. If you have a family who wants a serene, peaceful camping experience, this place is NOT for you. If you're a young, wild party animal, this is definitely the place for you. We will not be back to this campground and warn other families to stay far away.
Am I missing something? After reading the previous reviews, I can't help but think I stayed at a completely different campground.
My wife and I along with our son have had a seasonal spot for 3 years now. There's always something to do with a lighted double horseshoe pit, sandy beach and swimming area, great fishing, and great people we look forward every spring to getting back to our home away from home at Scenic View Bar & Campground... Oh ya, did I mention there is a bar located in the center of the campground with pool table, darts and occasional karaoke night. Lots of fun!
